DIY urine pregnancy test, to establish or confirm a pregnancy directly at the stable without intervention of the vet.
The test is based on the presence of estrone sulfate in the pregnant mare's urine. Pregnancy can be monitored in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters after breeding without palpation or ultrasound. The accuracy is above 92%
This test doesn't detect twin pregnancy and is only usable after 90 days of pregnancy. It doesn't replace the ultrasound check which is the only way to detect twins in the early stages of pregnancy.
It is useful to confirm a pregnancy on a mare during winter, or with mares which cannot get an ultrasound (miniatures for example).
It also works for other mammals such as cows, pigs, rabbits, llamas, etc. (the stage of pregnancy where the test is usable depends on the specy).
The kit contains :
- a testing strip,
- a user's manual in French (english manual on request).

The colorimeter test is temperature-sensible, in case of very cold temperatures the shipping may be delayed.
